The Problem:
The Coyote XC-2 can use one of two sizes of seatpost, depending
on which batch it came from. Some use a 27.2mm seatpost, and as
these are easy to come by, I won't go into detail on these.
The others use a 31.2mm seatpost. These can be an absolute bastard
to get hold of (believe me, I speak from experience).
The Seatpost Solution:
There are only a few companies that manufacture 31.2mm seatposts.
These are the ones I have found so far:
- Syncros - the 7075 Aluminium
post is available in 31.2mm / 425mm length.

- Roox - the S4 post
[pictured] is available in 31.2mm / 430mm length.

- Ritchey - the Logic post
is available in 31.2mm.

The Shim Solution:
The alternative is to use a shim to let the bike accept a 27.2mm
seatpost. There are a number of manufacturers who make a shim
in the correct size, including:
- USE - Shims available
with an outer diameter of 31.2mm and an inner diameter of 27.2
or 25.0mm.
